Baby Jogger Summit XC Single Stroller Review
This three wheel forward facing jogging stroller folds in a simple step and it features a fully reclined seat. These two features seem to distinguish Summit XC from the competition. In addition to this, the stroller has a superb all-wheel suspension design, hand operated rear drum brakes, lockable front wheel, multi-position sun canopy, rear parking brake, and multiple storage compartments. Oh, I almost forgot, unlike BOB Revolution, Baby Jogger Summit XC comes with a cup holder. The stroller is compatible with other Chicco products, such as a Chicco car seat. This jogging stroller comes in two color combinations: sand/black and red/black. The red and black combination is between 15% and 20% more expensive than the sand and black color scheme. I can’t imagine anyone would be willingly paying that kind of premium just for the color, but if one really loves red, I suppose it is worth it. I guess it is all about supply and demand. On the downside, one of the main complaints for this stroller is accessibility of the basket underneath the seat. If you are shorter than 5’3″, the handlebar might be too high for you to comfortably operate. Finally, if you will be using this jogging stroller when jogging, you should know that when in the locked position, the front wheel wobbles. All in all, I am not sure if it is worth more money than BOB Revolution. Baby Jogger Summit XC single stroller is best suited for active parents, fast paced walking and hilly terrain.
